The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is always finding ways and means to further equip its members with specialized knowledge. With the growth of specialization in the different facets of accounting profession along with the increasing complexity of the business environment, the Committee on Management Accounting (CMA) has thought it apt to launch a post qualification course (PQC) titled Diploma on Management and Business Finance (DMBF) Course, for the first time.
This Diploma course has been specifically designed to provide an in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of theoretical as well as practical aspects of Business Finance.
Following are the highlights of this Diploma course:
1. What is the Course all about?
The Diploma course will provide a gateway for all Chartered Accountants to deepen their strategy execution skill, gain leadership insights, enhance their decision and managerial skills in a more skillful and proficient manner.
2. What will the Course cover?
Diploma on Management and Business Finance course will cover six subjects such as Strategic Management, Capital Structuring and Investment Management, Capital and Finance Markets, Forex and Treasury, Valuations, M and A and Restructuring, Banking and Risk Management in a more detailed manner.
3. What is the duration of the Course?
Classroom sessions will be held on 5 weekends. Every alternative weekend, full day sessions shall be held. Face to face sessions will be completed in about 3 months. Follow-ups and lot of interactive learning will be online. Classes will be thus held only on alternative weekend for only 5 weekends and balance would be online. The physical classes (Saturday & Sunday -10.00 am to 6.00 pm) can also be attended through interactive virtual classrooms. Total 80 Hours of classroom sessions on 2nd & 4th weekend for about 3 months and balance 80 hours of sessions shall be done through e-learning modules which will not require physical presence. There would be a one-week residential program in association with Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management (JBIMS) at ICAI centre of Excellence at Hyderabad or Jaipur.
4. Who can apply?
Chartered Accountant with an active membership status can apply for this course.
5. What is the Course fee?
Course Fees: The total fees of the course including class–room training and One-Week residential programme and excluding examination fees is Rs. 70,000/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand only).
6. When the Course begins?
The course begins from 01st February, 2020.
